In addition to the British Canoeing Guide and CPD modules on offer, we are now pleased to be able to offer some alternative courses that have been based on our customer feedback. Coaches and Leaders are free to choose what development meets their individual needs and as such are able to submit a CPD application to British Canoeing when their CPD is due for update. These are not BC Guide or CPD modules but are structured learning and as such could be considered for up to 15 CPD points.
Open Fire Expedition Cooking and Camp food safety
This CPD course is aimed at leaders wanting to expand their knowledge and experience of expedition cooking on open fires and camp food safety. On this course we will look at the selection, processing, and use of different fuels. A variety of open fire cooking techniques and styles. Food safety in the preparation, storage, and transportation ingredients, as well as general camp kitchen safety.

This CPD course is aimed at paddlesport leaders to see how they can make their paddling trips and expeditions remembered for a good reason. Looking at activities for on the water on the bank and around camp. In the areas of Art, Craft, gaining knowledge, learning new skills or just having some fun.
