Safeguarding training is a requirement of several national governing bodies for instructors, coaches, tutors, leaders and guides to ensure that they have the skills needed in order to provide a service that helps protect children, young people and adults at risk.
Our online courses are classified as face to face by most NGB’s including British Canoeing.
You can see on the table where our level 1 course meets BC minimum requirements.
Our Safeguarding courses provide a qualification and are not an attendance course. We provide a qualification that is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). FAA are an Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual and the qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

This course is an accepted equivalent to UK Coaching Safeguarding and protecting children that is an attendance course.
an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a
workplace, activity group or any instance where a person
comes into contact with children or adults at risk.
The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to
identify a safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and
report to the appropriate person.
