These weekends are aimed at traditional open canoe paddlers. British Canoeing qualified leaders and endorsed Guides will lead small groups of paddlers on day trips from a selection of local Rivers that will range in difficulty from grade1 up to grade 4 (water conditions permitting). Local rivers include Lune, Leven, Wharfe and Eden. Please not these are not guaranteed and are subject to correct and safe water levels.
Like many parts of the UK access agreements and practice are very fragile in this area. We do not want to put access into jeopardy so it is imperative that ALL participants follow access and egress instructions given by event leaders.
The event fee includes bunk house style accommodation in single sex 4 or 6 bedded rooms. If you are coming as part of a group it maybe possible to allocate a 4 or 6 bed room to your group.
On the Saturday evening pizzas are provided cooked in a wood burning pizza oven. These are individual so you can select your own toppings.
A range River trips will be offered on both Saturday and Sunday lead by event staff in small groups giving you the opportunity to select a trip that you want to do (the event trip leaders reserve the right to only take paddlers on trips where skill level is applicable).
Other types of accommodation are available. Caravan and Camper van parking.
