Cross Scotland open canoe challenge trip.
This is a pretty unique cross Scotland trip, it isn’t the classic crossing and will come with bragging rights. Starting at Poolewe and finishing 96 km and 6 days later in Dingwall. This will be a small group and the 6 days will consist of 10-14 hours a day paddling or portaging. This trip has 16km of portage and traveling up highland streams with 325m of height gain where you will need to carry your boat as well as all your own kit and food. This trip is very much a traditional style open canoe trip.
It goes without saying a high level of fitness will be required for this tough challenge. You will need to have experience of lightweight camping and happy paddling on grade 3 rivers and in force 4 winds with experience in lining, tracking, poling, portaging, sailing. This expedition will be lead by BC endorsed guide Dave Jnr. If you are still interested contact us.
