The WithDave team Provide Canoe camping trips on the River Wye from May to August before migrate to Scotland in September until early November. Amongst the courses and expeditions, we deliver during this time are three Holiday Expeditions, fully guided and catered trips.
Canoe Camping Safari
Canoe Camping Family UK Safari Holiday. These are two-day mini expeditions with an overnight camp on the river Wye. Our fully qualified and experienced instructors will be with you every step of the way. Our all-inclusive Safari prices mean there are no additional costs.
Canoe Camping River Wye
Britain’s fifth longest river at 252km. Don’t panic! We will only paddle part of the finest unique stretch of untamed winding river. Suitable for those with little or no paddling experience.
The Great Glen 26th -30th September 2022
The Great Glen. An iconic 96km gem though the amazing Scottish landscape with breath-taking views. Conquering the formidable open water of Loch Ness. Using wild campsites along the route and cooking on open fires. A true traditional open canoe trip style.
Ben Alder Paddle and Trek 4th – 7th October 2022
Ben Alder. The 25th highest Munro. Canoeing along Loch Ericht from Dalwhinnie is a great way to access this remote location, to summit this amazing peak. You will be guided along the loch and lead up the mountain by an endorsed guide with advanced and moderate canoe open water leaders and led on the trek by an International Mountain Leader and Mountain Leader.
Cross Scotland open canoe challenge 10th- 14th October 2022
This is a pretty unique cross Scotland trip; it isn’t the classic crossing and will come with bragging rights. Starting at Poolewe and finishing 96 km and 6 days later in Dingwall. This will be a small group and the 6 days will consist of 10-14 hours a day paddling or portaging. This trip has 16km of portage and traveling up highland streams with 325m of height gain where you will need to carry your boat as well as all your own kit and food. This trip is very much a traditional style open canoe trip.
Canoe Leader Training (Moderate Water) and Progressive Canoe Award. 16th – 22nd October 2022
This is delivered via an expedition camp format in some of the very best locations for this award training. If you want to have a chat about the training, please message us. The Tay expedition 25th -28th October 2022
This is for open canoe paddlers comfortable in Force 4 winds and Whitewater grade 2/3. Starting at the top end of Loch Tay paddling down to the mouth of the river and down the classic River Tay below the famous Grandtully. This is another of our trips using wild campsites along the route and cooking on open fires in a true traditional open canoe trip style.
